AUSTRALIA VIRTUAL SUPPORT DOG TRAINING

AUSTRALIA VIRTUAL SUPPORT DOG TRAINING

With over 20 years of experience training dogs, we at Fetch and More understand the importance of having a well-trained dog, no matter where you are. Operating as our primary Fetch and More certified trainer in Australia, Luke McDonald works closely with lead trainer John Bellocchio to provide tailored in-person and virtual training programs for our Australian clients.

American-Style Guardian Dog Training

course

When it comes to protecting yourself and your family, guardian dogs are powerful and effective companions. Our American-style guardian dog training ensures your dog is properly trained to protect you, your home, and your family. We take a highly personalised approach to all of our training courses, and our self-protection guardian dog training is no different. While your program inclusions will be determined after speaking with Luke, some areas we address in our training include intruder detection, controlled defence, and perimeter defence.

Housebreaking and Obedience Training

While there are milestones in each level of training, training can be subjective—to some, walking on a leash without pulling is considered basic, whereas to others, that’s more advanced. Whether your dog is a puppy starting with housebreaking or a senior dog learning to wait patiently for you outside the shops, we’ll chat about what outcomes you want from training and work together to make it happen.

Common milestones in our obedience training include:

  • Response to name
  • Lead training
  • Housebreaking
  • Sit
  • Stay
  • Wait
  • Leave it/drop it
  • Come (from close and long distances)

Additionally, we work on teaching your dog proper stress responses. These are, essentially, the dog version of manners—so, no howling, pawing at doors, stealing food, or jumping on people.

How Our Process Works

Our training is incredibly flexible, adaptable, and personalised. We start our process by getting to know you, your dog, and your training goals. From there, we’ll develop a schedule and custom training program that’s effective for your dog.

Typically, we start with the basics and level up accordingly—everything, especially training, needs a solid foundation. In addition to the training itself, the program will include check-ins, progress and status updates, and continuous evaluations.

In addition to our virtual training options, we offer in-person board and train programs. We have close connections with a Queensland-based transport company that travels along the East Coast of Australia to safely bring your dog to us. In special cases, we can arrange to travel directly to you—it’s all about what’s best for the dog.

Once training is complete, your dog will receive a certificate, and we can discuss the next steps and levels of training!
